Id say you can easily shave a grand off that. Ive worked for a main dealer, and I know how much markup they make on cars like this!

Get the sales persons name and use it as much as you can....easy win  :signLOL:

Well guys... I've only gone and done it and joined the red army!

Woke up at 2.30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep (just like Xmas lol) so decided to get the first train to Loughborough to see the ED30.

The car was better than advertised; it had more kit than even the salesman realised - what a touch   :drinking:

Spec is Tornado Red, 3dr, 37k miles,  DSG, Sat Nav, Full Winter Pack, Luxury Pack & Parrot Bluetooth Hands free (he didn't realise!), Ipod Integration, Highline,

Got a great deal with a thrown in service + DSG, new cam belt and Auto Glym Life Shine! Got him to change the white wormed centre caps and manky window switch too  :happy2:

Obviously took it out for a test drive and WOWWWWWWWW! My god its fast... really fast. The car went like a bullet and I wasn't even nailing it!

You were all right, the DSG is light years ahead of the BMW Auto I'm pottering about in. The paddle shifts were fantastic... not as satisfying as a manual change but I may get used to that. One thing I will get used to though is the 'popping' over run from the exhaust when changing up... oh I do like that!

It is ever so slightly a tad harder suspension wise to my old GTI, but felt much more focussed tight.

Hopefully picking it up at the end of next week... hope I can sleep till then, I can't take 7 more Xmas nights till then  :signLOL:

:congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :pomppomp: :pomppomp: :pomppomp: :drinking: :drinking:

Very nice, by the sounds of things you got an absolute bargain there.

As for the "popping noise" yes that is the best things about DSG GTI.
That's only one of my many reasons of wanting to change to DSG GTI.

can't wait for the pictures. And it's not even my car lol.
