Hi and welcome. Awesome shots. :congrats:

What was your pad/polish combo?

Hi and welcome. Awesome shots. :congrats:

What was your pad/polish combo?

Could be just a hand polish as no light source to see if swirls are lurking...

Great reflections though.  :happy2:

Erm no. You don't need a light source unless you're doing paint correction. Most swirls are light and can be removed with a single pass with a finishing pad and polish.

Thanks for the welcomes!  I have had it out in the sun and was chuffed with my first go that all swirls have gone  :surprised:, was a bit late taking the photos, sun had gone.  Doesn't like to stay out long in Scotland!  My T-Shirt does look like a bloody dress in them photos  :signLOL: . Used menz polishing pad and a finishing pad.  Ultimate polish on the polishing pad and final finish on the finishing pad. My first go at using my new DAS 6 Pro.  Toped up with 2 coats of colante 476 (amazing stuff!). Was going to clean the bike today but going to use it instead. Good week for holidays, actualy some sun!

Thanks
Kevin

I love menzerna polishes - when worked correctly, they give an awesome finish. Did you use a glaze or paint cleanser after the polish and before the wax? If not, try something lime prime lite.

Everyone seems to be on about lime prime. Never had a chance to use some but may well give it a go.  I put on some poorboys black hole.  Not to hide any swirls! lol.  Just find it gives it a really deep wet shine.

I took a long time to finaly get one.  Kept putting it off but after the results on my first attempt I am so glad I did.

This is the kit I got, http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher-menzerna-kit/prod_675.html

Alot of people don't like these pads but I found nothing wrong with them although as I said its my first time.  What a great place to buy from aswell.  Such a great service.  You won't be disapointed!

Sorry Detailing guru.....but

Erm yes.....the photos only show reflections so he could have just hand polished and taken photos....

That's why I said it might not be machine polish job. I asked about light source as if he'd photo'ed the paint with a light source showing no swirls then I would have asked the same about pad polish combo
