Approx £25 from the dealer for both

Piece of pie to change

Ignition on (not engine) and press the wiper arm down, this will put the wipers in park mode (half a wipe), lift wiper arm, turn wiper half wat and slide off - reverse process to put back on.

Sorry to dig up an old post, but didn't want to just make up another thread for the hell of it.

I was trying this function out to clean the front wipers, but when I had the key in, push down the wiper stalk, nothing. Then turn the key so the lights on dash lights up, push down wiper stalk, it does a full one wipe (up and down) and NOT the half wipe to the 12 o'clock position? is there something wrong?

Turn on the ignition then turn it off but leave the key in. Now depress the wiper stalk and the wipers should move into the service position.
Without traction power is nothing!

Thanks very much, I'll give this a go.

This place is great, such prompt and quick response and even me, a non-GTi owner, is welcomed here!!! but whenever I look at the the GTI's here, it makes me depressed that I can't afford one.... (not just yet anyway!)

added: just to say, thanks. worked a treat when tried at work car park after work last night.
