Matt's TSI GT
« on: July 09, 2011, 10:28:50 pm »
Hello guys! Thought I'd put up a build thread for my TSI GT that I purchased last wednesday but have only just got it cleaned up as the paint was cover with tree sap and scratches etc and unforunatly the sap has etched the paint so will be getting a correction asap - anyone in the Northwest handy with a machine polisher or a detailer send me a PM please!

Anyway, bit of history: I came from a civic ep2 (had 2 s40's and a peugeot 207 previously to the civic) and was able to get insured on this beast so snapped at the opportunity!

Plans are:
Full paint correction
R32 rear end
Revo remap (stage 2 possibly ?)
Forge induction + new DV or spacers to get the swoosh from the turbo! And a nice whine from the SC
Slammed on some coils
Some form of wide wheels
Tints
New darker headlights/taillights
De-badge etc

Not sure on the specific spec level but it seems to be loads with the following:
Full leather + heated seats + electric lumber support!
Auto wipers/headlights
Parking sensors
Winter pack
Elec sunroof
Highline trip computer
 :driver:

Ill update as the mods get flowing but I'm pretty skint as i'm only 18!
finally if anyone has driven one of these, for a 1.4 they are amazing, so so nippy!
 :jumping:
Thoughts ?

Nice  :happy2: Didn't realise they had a boost gauge. R32 rear and darker lights are a must IMO.
GTI going...

I think its only the 170 that has the boost gauge..

Yup, exactly my thoughts, also.

Yes, only the 170 petrol car had the boost gauge. A nice feature, but with a downside: you don't know the water temperature unless using the hidden climate control functions.

Yeah its only the 1.4 170 tsi that come with the boost gauge... and its a pretty nice feature if I do say so myself hahaha

Yeah just worked out its a midline, still new to all the vag malarky!
