40k Mile Service

As above guys my car has 38k on it so it's due it's 40k service . My local VW dealer has quoted me £240 all in. Just wondering how this compares with other dealers around the country. The dealer has even offered to fit my denso ik24 plugs and deduct the vw plugs from the service price. I thought this was quite good seeing as they're non standard parts. It's up tomorrow so I'm looking forward to seeing what else they can come up with .

What about brake fluid change and dsg service/ cam belt change? That's all due at 40k miles.

it's normally a wallet emptying price of well over £500+. not sure price diff is in Ireland though?

Steve the car is manual and the dealer said cambelt isn't due until 60k as car is only 2.5 years old. Agree on the brake fluid change dealer said he,ll let me know. I think I may need discs front and back as well but will wait and see what they report back.

Apologies, did forget about the manual, I have dsg of the brain at times..

I'd expect a further £75+ for brake fluid service.

Air conditioning will need a recharge too if she's over 2 years old.

If its still cold, itll be ok. Air Con generally only needs recharging when it doesnt stay ice cold anymore

All sorted thankfully. Cam follower checked still good. Two front tyres needed and a rear wiper so I'm pleased.
