Intercooler
« on: April 08, 2011, 07:33:02 pm »
I am thinking of fitting an intercooler and considering the THS, seems this is a better option than a twintercooler. Also wondering about others ?

I like the idea if improved efficiency, detonation headroom, less summer performance impact and no intake noise increase (still want to hear a twinTake)

You have to spend more time fitting it...

I have mapped plenty of cars with both on the dyno, tbh intake temps are pretty similar. I went for the twintercooler as it is easier to fit and uses the front lower grille area very efficiently.

Thanks for the feedback. I am happy with stage 2 Revo and want to have reliable cold weather performance in the warmer weather, perhaps the twintercooler is a good option ?

The twintercooler is more cost effective is you planning on stripping your mods off when you sell.

Plus it gives a subtle bit of eye candy if you're into that sort of thing.

Robin, thanks

It will probably have TT arms VWR brakes and perhaps a twintercooler by then.  :driver:

I've seen the forge twintercooler is a additional cooling aid to work with the factory fit, but does the THS intercooler replace the factory OEM intercooler?
Could you fit a s3 intercooler and a THS or a twintercooler......and an twintake?

Cheers

....You can fit a Twintake regardless of which intercooler. Either of the S3 or THS are aftermarket replacements for the OEM intercooler. Forge's Twintercooler can be fitted in addition to any of those three intercoolers.

the twintercooler, S3 cooler and THS are all intercoolers.  the twintake is an air intake.  noting to do with cooling at all.
