Tap it, if it sounds like metal it's wrapped and not worthy of any additional value on the sale price as it's aesthetic. If it sounds like plastic then it's the real thing - but I very much doubt that as to replace the metal would be a massive cost and wouldn't warrant the expense

If they went to the extent of a real CF roof, I'd expect the bonnet, wings and boot to be real CF too.

Was gonna say Lomax is the only MK5 GTI I know of thats had a full CF roof put on.
Apparently was a nightmare of a job and the guy who did it swore that was the first and last time...theres a full write up about it somewhere on the EastsideVW forum.

Yeah, I spoke to Lomax and he wasn't 100% happy with the roof as it still had ripples on the edges.

That was only a CF layer on top of the existing roof AFAIK.........

It's a CF wrap with a sunroof and it looks sh!t!
