My Dyno dynamics RR results and probs i have had
« on: March 05, 2009, 02:40:08 pm »
Well over the last few months i have been having a few probs with my car as i was sure it kept losing its revo code  and after being on a rr before the car made 265hp ish in stock mode and lucky for me pro sport in stockport are a revo dealer and had a look and they said revo not turned on  as it had been in for a service and they had done an update and not told me  :fighting: but prosport put it back on for me and i thought the car felt better  :rolleye:.
Over the last few months i had a full blueflame 3"" turboback exhaust fitted and had my mate Mat at www.theRacingline.co.uk put stage 2 Revo on  :driver: and after a few days i had him check it as i thought things just did not seem ok  he checked to see if the software was ok and it was  so i thought it was fine and  i had the car booked in at VWR for the clutch doing as it was slipping in 5th and 6th due to the torque from the map or so i thought and after the clutch was done i thought the map had gone again due the battery being off for a while  so i had Mat check the software again and he said its all fine but we need to get it on my rollers for a bang on reading and so i booked it in for today.
Mat put the car on the rollers and the car put out 263bhp again   :angry015: 4 times in a row and after speaking to revo and doing some vagcom logs we said there must be a boost leak somewhere and after a bit of a think i said lets check the forge DV pipes and see if the pipes going in are on propperly and guess what they are on the wrong way around and we found that out from the second he started the car up as the boost was bang on and it made

and Mat said it will make more power if we have a play with settings and get the fuel pump on  and he said give some time to settle in and we will get a RR day sorted out for the forum and see what it does then

So am i happy now? Yes big time
Do i think the stock VW clutch can take the hp of a stock car being used? NO  :rolleye: they are going to go at some point and a map is going to fook em big time as i think if mine had the Map on all the time it would have died 15k ago easy

What sort of miles have you done on the Standard clutch before slip set in?
