Fuel Cut on Stage 1???
« on: April 11, 2011, 02:08:05 pm »
Had my custom map done last week and did my service yesterday (pipercross airfilter, spark plugs, pollen filter and oil service)

Now at lunchtime I floored it in 4th and at one point it lost power, eased off and drove normally.

I thought fuel cut only happened on Stage 2 with a Intake and TBE due to the extra air and the HPFP not being able to cope...

Trying to borrow a Vagcom to log the blocks mentioned in other posts but has anyone else had this with a stage 1?
Car is running 240bhp so thought it would be ok. Going to do the 3rd gear test (2,000rpm - floor it to 6,000rpm) and see if it happens again - if it;s consistent then at least I can log it.

Just hope it's not something I did when servicing......wouldn't have thought so.

Thanks

My reply didnt save dammit lol

Anyway, check that your sparks are all in securely and the coil packs are also snug on top

Its also worth checking to make sure the MAF plug is in properly and that the side air feed is snapped onto the airbox properly.

Nope sensor connected......hope it was that then.

When I chnage the plugs I nipped then up though not over tightened them. The coilpacks when on and I couldn't push them down anymore....do you need to use some force with them?

So the sensor was or wasnt connected  :signLOL:

They have to be torqued to about 25nm

Whicc part is this? if it's the tube where the MAF is then it's on properly.
