What plugs did you use also?

Got them from Edition_30_P

The ones that came out had three prongs.....the new ones had one.

Try turning off your ESP and see if it stops matie

Don't thkink it was trying to spin in 4th....

It only cut midway (maybe further) up the rev range.

Just turn it off, i bet thats the cause 100%

Will try it as well..

Any reason why this would cause it?

Am I right in thinking you've had nothing but trouble from that remap by those people?

No, it went back for a tweak for more power as they initially setup it up on the light side.

Since then it's been great. Good power and nice delivery.

All the way home I was going into 3rd....upto 2k, then flooring it....must have done this and also in 4th..... nothing...was perfect. Just that one time at lunchtime.

Very strange.

Ahhh righto...

Any chance you could have hit a bump/oil/drain cover letting the wheel slip and the esc jump in?

Could be lads...will test over the next few days and see how we go.

Out of interest, Paramount told me the other day that they write their maps for 95RON petrol for flexibility.

If they tweaked it again for 98RON would I see even more gains?

Will be on the blower tomorrow.......

They've only just started with the VAG cars as they've primarily Astons, Ferraris, Jags etc.....though want to get into the more mainstream cars.

They've done their Audi TT 2.0 TFSi and now mine, great lads and willing to tweak and try new things so will get them to have a go....

Thanks gents...

The GTi is a 97RON car as stock so I'd expect the map to be designed to utilise 97 at a minimum.  Most will expect you to use 98/99 for best results.

But in answer to your original question it is entirely possible to get fuel cut with what you consider to be a stage 1 map.  There aren't really defined parameters for stage 1 mapping so yours could be more aggressive.

Would it be a consistent issue or intermittent? As it's happened once and I;ve done power runs from 2k to 6k numerous times and nothing happening.
