The GTi is a 97RON car as stock so I'd expect the map to be designed to utilise 97 at a minimum.  Most will expect you to use 98/99 for best results.

But in answer to your original question it is entirely possible to get fuel cut with what you consider to be a stage 1 map.  There aren't really defined parameters for stage 1 mapping so yours could be more aggressive.

I thought the TFSI was 98RON. Pretty sure that's what the fuel flap says.  :confused:

I have of late noticed that at timed when I put my foot down there is a delay and then the turbo kicks in, do you guys think that this sounds like a fuel cut? I have had my DV replaced to the revision D model.

May just be turbo lag, i doubt, at stage 1 on your K03 that it would be a fueling issue if youve not fitted any other supporting mods Homer.
