Car seems to have lost its mojo-advice?
« on: April 12, 2011, 10:36:29 am »
Hi, having had a stage 1 and new DV valve fitted the car ran amazingly for a few days however now it seems to be lacking something. When I put my foot down in whatever gear there seems to be a delay and even when the turbo kicks in it is not as much torque as there was? Any thoughts on what this could be? I am going to see PDT for a dynorun at somepoint soon for his opinion but thought would ask you guys as well. Thanks

Based on your subjective information we can only hazard guesses. Your first and best port of call would be the guys who remapped your car. Who were they incidentally?

Do you have a Select Switch to read the settings?

Revo Technik are proud to release their New SPS switch. The Patented OBD2 interface is the ultimate compliment to Revo performance software. The Revo SPS gives the user the ability to switch between Revo performance modes and a stock performance setting via the vehicles OBD2 port.

From his older posts I'd say he's gone the Revo route.....Obviously didn't get the Switch or wasn't told about it.

It could also be you've just got used the increase quickly and you not feeling the push as much as before.

When mine was first mapped it felt like a rocket, now it's as quick (proved that last night) but I've become accustomed to it.

Worth Dynoing it though just to be sure....thoguh the Revo dealer you mapped with should do this as you think you have a problem....

I know some Revo dealers don;t have a RR which I find strange so this might be why you're going to PDT.

The Select Switch would allow you to check and if required adjust the settings on your ECU.  They are normally offered at a reduced price when having a map done so it may be worth enquiring.

....Certainly a good idea to have a Select Switch but better to go to appointed Revo professionals than ask blokes on the internet what settings they use and copy theirs - Every car and its mods is different.

From his older posts I'd say they didn't sell him one coz he appears to be completely clueless!

Robin that's completely unfair, and an insult to one of my favourite cartoon characters.  :rolleye:
