This is my little project at the minute,  The golf seems to have ground to an halt and I'm thinking of getting rid :surprised: I'm using the bike to go to work on now...

I know I have a diesel but I'm wanting to move into a bigger house and so I've started using the bike and saving the £60-£70 in diesel I usually spend each week just to goto work.

Bike spec nothing fantastic at the minute but I'm getting there, my main things where to sort the front forks and rear shock.

RockShox Recon 100 front forks
Fox rp23 rear shock, (TFTuned) heavy duty mounts
Shimano Nexave 160mm front disc with XT rear v brakes
FSA Orbit headset
XT spd pedals
XT rear mech with LX front mech
Mavic rims which are so old its unbelievable(the disc on the front isn't even an International Standards)
New Schwalbe land cruiser tyres front and back
To come will be new wheels then a disc conversion on the back and then new brakes and groupset.

This is it when I first started on it.

And this is it has it stands now.

It's the only way to fly. I need a great all round tyre as I run tubeless. So no switching rubber to fit the conditions of the ride. Nothing else is as good, although the Panaracer Fire XC that I ran weren't bad. The contis have better wet grip by far.

The last pic I have of mine although it has changed a little since.

Now running;

Hope 2 hubs
Mavic 717 rims
SRAM 990 red rear cassette
KMC X9 SL gold chain

And it is now really light and very fast.  Had the upgrades as a treat to myself after I cracked a couple of ribs at llandegla hitting a tree at 25 mph

It's only now I'm getting my confidence back

Oh man I miss my dh rig!! I used to have some bad offs! Which hurt.

I switched to a xc bike and slowly migrated my heavy Downhill parts to lighter more appropriate parts haha
