Guys,
Originally my MK5 GTi was running 260bhp (AMD map, Milltek TBE) before I added the HPFP.
AMD fitted the HPFP and did the remap as well. After a few hours they came back to me telling me that even though the HPFP had been fitted they couldn't up the bhp as my standard intake was restricting it!  They said my only option was to fit a new intake  :confused:
Anyway, being the noob I am at this sort of thing I agreed with their offer of £200 for supply and fitting of a new Pipercross Venom intake. Anybody not familiar with this intake can have a gander at

After the fitting and rolling road I got 280bhp, so not bad Im assuming  :scared:
I'm just looking for some feedback or general info, as I'm considering changing the Viper for a twintake, but AMD have said that I'd be crazy, as don't reckon I'd see anymore performance gains than I already have?   :laugh:

its common for a HPFP to not make any extra peak power but they usually provide a nice mid range gain, I cant see any real gain in changing the inlet TBH.
