I've had mine 3 years now, bought it in March 2008 when it was a 18 months old and 24,000 miles. She has only done 52k now and has never driven better.
I normally keep cars 3 years and want a change, I do have itchy feet but, as I can't actually work out what I'd like (good ed30 tops the list) I reckon I'm probably sticking with her for 2 more years.
Mk5 does everything well for me, it's not that expensive compared to a porker. I am thinking at the minute that I keep for 2 years stash cash away then find my oft dreamed of c4s 911.
In the interim she'll get new tyres, a couple of services and mots, I'll maybe eventually howk off those awful milltek quads and get a new valance. I've also got to replace a couple of corroded parking sensors which I'll do at next service or myself before. I'll maybe even treat her to a good detailing.
So on balance I'm going nowhere for two years and lining myself up for a car I've wanted since I farrah fawcett majors was hot.
