If the quicker shifting was going to make up time it would be in the lower gears so must be somethign along the lines of downward gradient, or the evo guy cant drive  and it was a tight fresh engine.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if a S-Tronic TTRS was a good second faster 0-100 over a manual. When you factor in the launch control and 3 shifts, I think it's possible.. I think a lot is to do with the launch. Just look at the 997 Turbo, with PDK it's around 6-7/10's faster than the manual 0-60mph..  :surprised:
Check out these figures of the TTRS when tested against the 1M in the States..  :surprised:

Up to a second faster I could believe but not 2 seconds.

As I said earlier I'm not disputing it's quick. I just think "something else" is helping. Be it downward slope, undeclared software etc. Either that or as mentioned the EVO tester was tonk.

Videos and stopwatches are never acurate anyway Carl IMO. But I would expect a S-Tronic one to break into the 9's..

Looking at it again and allowing for speedo inaccuracy. I make it about 4.0 0-60 and 9.8 0-100, which I can believe tbh.. God only knows what a Stage 2+ one will do..

Stage 2 is not a lot beyond stage 1, at the moment.
