Wing Mirror Motor
« on: April 17, 2011, 10:34:05 am »
Hi chaps, I am having a wing mirror motor changed on my GTi on thursday at the stealers and wanted to know if anyone can post pictures of what it looks like without the mirror glass attached so i can see where the loom plugs into the motor (if it does at all?)

Cheers in advance

I think the loom goes to the motor directly so you don't see it with the mirror off.

Thanks for helping me out on my query, do you know if the motor has a connectionat the back of it (so you dont have to feed the loom into the door card)

Cheers very much  :happy2:

Don't really know but judging on how the wiring is set out in the door I suspect the loom doesn't go behind the door card. NB I don't know for sure if that car has folding mirrors.

it plugs on the back of the motor

if it is the passenger side it will be a memory version with a blue plug with 8 or 7 wires
If it is the drivers side it will be a black plug with 3 wires
