The car on arrival
As you can see from the pictures, a well cared for car.
First up was the wheels and arches, The wheels were sprayed with Megs wheels brightner, then agitated with a swisswax wheel brush, the inners with an EZ detail mini. The tyres were sprayed with Megs All purpose cleaner and scrubbed alog with Megs de-greaser. Arches and calipers were dealt with with the same products. Tar spots on the wheels were disolved and removed Autosmart tardis.
The car was then given a good rinse with the power washer and foamed with Megs shampoo plus, at this point the badges and window rubbers etc were all cleaned with various brushes, the car foamed...
This was then power rinsed off and the car was washed in the usual two bucket method using a Megs mitt and Shampoo plus. Once the car wash completely washed it was power rinsed and then water sheeted over the car.
Autosmart Tardis was then sprayed onto the vehicle from the windows down to remove tar deposits, the larger spots removed with microfibres.
The car was then clayed with Valet pro fine clay and Megs last touch as a lubricant.
The car was then sheeted with water again to aid drying and then dried with Poorboys luxury towels.
The car was then taped up for the polishing stage, this was done with Megs #205 and a 3M yellow polishing pad.
Once the polishing stage was complete, the car was rinsed down with the power washer to remove and polish dust from seals and shuts etc.
Werkstat Prime acrylic was then applied to the car, left to haze for 10 minutes then removed using Poorboys plush towels, once this was wiped off, two coats of Werkstat Acrylic Jett was applied, in between coats the wheels were sealed with poorboys wheel sealant, the tyres were dressed with Gloss-it signature tire gloss, the arches dressed with Megs all seasons dressing and the mudflaps were dressed with Megs trim detail.
Werkstat Acrylic gloss was then used.
The glass was done with 3M glass cleaner ( only the second time ive used this, a great product!!) and the exhaust tips were polished with 00 grade wire wool and Belgom Alu.
The interior was hovered out with Henry and all interior plastics and leather were treated with Werkstat Satin Prot.
It was then the owner asked if i could give the engine bay a quick clean, this was done with Megs APC, various brushes and microfibres. Then dressed with AG viynl and rubber.
The car was then given a final wipe down with Werkstat Acrylic gloss. The final pictures...
A long day and a long drive home after it.
