Is the LED itself in clipped in tight inside the light or its it just loosely held in there, I had a few that were loose and flickered because the connection was dodgy, then I pushed the connectors together a couple of mm with a screwdriver and made sure they fitted tight and the flickering stopped.

Mine only ever flicker on startup of the engine, they work like normal on unlocking of the car or opening the door.
Id assume its because of the canbus system doing a bulb check on startup.

Mine flicker 3 time with ignition on. I think it is the way the bulb out warning system checks itself. My LED sidelights used to do it.

hmm.. IME they'll flicker before expiring, followed by a trip to Halfords for a replacement. I now wait until 2 fail so I can get a easy box for box swap done.

The ticketing is no buggy but are they not meant to stay on unit the door is closed or engine started, mine only literally stay on for about 5-6 seconds then go out??

Are you sure they have resistors in as believe it or not the foot well circuit is covered buy the bulb check system.

I can't remember if it tells you there out but if the car detects a problem in the circuit it shuts it off virtually straight away till next time you start the car

I think a lot of LED's flicker on the car's startup, even if you've replaced the rear bulbs for LED's etc. If I remember correctly its just the car doing some sort of check or whatever but some of the guys on here say you can get the flickering removed through VCDS or something like that.

As stated mine did this first type I bought, I then bought some with built in resistors and now work fine :)
