Handling feels "skittish"
« on: April 21, 2011, 10:07:11 pm »
Chaps am running Revo stg 1 on my Eddie with BDM induction kit - which I have to say has made the car rather aggressive. Am going 2+ next thursday with s3 intercooler, Autotech hpfp and pipewerx downpipe/sports cat.

Am getting a lot of torque steer and handling feels "skittish" if try to overtake quickly, like it almost wants to break away.

Now I know I probably need to be more "progressive" with my right foot and have Eibach arb's (going to set as per Janner Sy) and TT wishbones (going to set as per BDM Alex) going on shortly and will get laser wheel alignment straight after and Toyo R1R's when need too.

My question really is will this not really improve that much until i get the Quaife on? Am going to go to Stattlers for Sachs/Quaife but kinda need a rest financially after all the above goes on. Also, I was not planning on fitting coilovers or spring/dampers cause i trash my front splitter if not careful where i live anyway - but do you think i could fit say a B12 BUT leave the ride height as OEM and still get benefit of being stiffened up??

Sorry for the essay guys but needed to try and get it all in so your opinions can be as informed as possible

Many thanks  :drinking:

As daft as it sounds the faster stage map should give better traction as the revo stage one is a bit on and off, the power will be more spread out. Also you need top tyres and a few suspension mods to help out get the power down. Walk kit, engine mounts coils.  :happy2:

  tyres and geo set up, or if all else fails go for the red Robin, modulate your right foot.  :driver:
