I have the bits to do mine, Just need to drop them off at the bodyshop to be painted!
How hard can it be?

I'm quite tempted now with the R32 bumper as it doesn't have fogs....but at the min can't quite bring myself to click buy it now...

I learned just to impulse buy as a few weeks later you want it and you can never find them  :happy2:

Might just be brave as I'm really wanting to tidy up the looks of mine now as I've owned the car 2 years now.

Ok these forums are now getting very bad for my wallet lol, bought the front panel, cross member and bumper bracket for the front end conversion, dropped the bumper off to be painted then its just sourcing all the grilles, fogs and spoiler.

Not sure if the GTI honeycomb would suit my car or not as finding the GT items are proving very difficult.

The lower grilles arent too bad for non genuine, Its the larger centre one that is, They never seem to fit right!

So the non genuine aren't too bad a fit then? the main grille I only want genuine and don't really want to pay the dealer prices I got quoted lol.

The lower centre grille on mine is non genuine and fits perfect, Only thing with the jetta style ones is that the chrome strips arent attatched very well so I went for genuine ones. I'm assuming the GTI style ones won't be too bad of a fit.

Slowly getting there with my front end conversion as I've had all the panels turn up to be able to use the GT/GTI front bumper...

Also had my front door lights turn up...

Bought a grille off a member on here and the bumper is being painted at the weekend so not much left to sort.

What grille did you go for?

When I fitted my bumper I just trimmed the bumper to fit, Fits perfectly and solid, No real need to do the crossmembers, Just unnecessary work IMO.

I'll see if i can find the guide I used.

Probably not for another month yet as got to save some more pennies.

I went for the GT grille, its currently wrapped in satin black, might change that though.

Heres the guide.

http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/437694.aspx

I have a spare grille I may do something different with, Just looking for a genuine chrome one in good condition to replace the replica I have on the car now.
