I'm surprised nobody has said this but why not get a mint low mileage R32, if you're not driving it regularly then fuel isn't a concern. We all know the days of naturally aspirated cars are numbered, plus that V6 growl :driver:

Black S3 sportback every day for me...The Golf R is nice but not nearly £40k nice once spec'd up :surprised:

Gaz and Phils S3's look the bollox and in the sazuka grey are really nice.

Its not a big issue with the RNS-E has the mfsw uses the roller keys so its easy to navigate through the menu's, plus the new RNS-E is now HD and alot better quality.

Realistically I think that is enough, 250BHP is still a lot. The best part is, the power is always exploitable throughout the rev range and it just puts it down because it has Haldex.

^^I think your wrong 250bhp is never enough, I don't know if you've drove one but they are not has fast has you'd think...Yes they are fast but when you think the old e36 M3 with the 3.2 is pushing 321 bhp and the e46 was 341bhp nearly 100bhp up on the R32??

I don't know many people who own an R32 but the ones I do, have them quite highly modified with blower or turbos pushing more than 400+bhp.

The same goes for the RS4, the 2 I have drove have been an absolute joy to drive but if your tootling along in say 4th and then plant your foot they just take an age to pick up...The R32 is not exploitable right through the rev range and is quite sluggish if caught off guard in the wrong gear.

I wait to be blown out of the water from the like of Hedge and Pomme but IMO the R and S3 will be more of a drivers car than the R32 and will also hold there money far better.

And as said the Pirelli is the car of the moment and will hold its value far better than any of the cars suggested so far.

Not by me.

My take on the .:R32 is that it is a fantastic cruiser. No way is it a sprinter. More Daley Thompson than Usain Bolt.

That said mine was always fun to drive and because of the aural pleasures it was enjoyable at slow speeds as well.

One of my good friends had one, and I knew what people initially thought of R32s (bit sluggish etc). By no means did it make the world move but it was still very quick. It didn't feel sluggish at all but then again it was DSG so it was always shifting itself. Each to their own but I do think the R32 will reach a certain price and stay around that area. My mate has now gone onto a 335d and continues to miss the R32.
