Nick's GT 1.4 TSI - DSG
« on: April 26, 2011, 11:03:31 pm »
Hi guys,

I have been browsing the forum for the last couple of weeks with the odd post here and there but haven't really introduced myself properly. I have just bought myself my first VW after many years of owning Honda, three EP3 Civic Type-R's to be spot on.

The main reason for the switch is that a family member was about to trade a 1.4TSI GT - DSG they bought new with their local dealer as there eldest son was about to start learning to drive. This car had hardly been used covering just 11500 miles since May 2008. Initially I hadn't even contemplated a Golf but I was on the hunt for a more economical car which was a bit newer, anyway I found a buyer for the Honda just in time and took the plunge.

The car is a good spec coming with:
- Full Leather
- RNS Sat Nav
- DSG Gearbox
- Rear Parking Sensors
- Centre Arm Rest
- Factory Tinted Windows

I am on the hunt for a nice set of Genuine 18" BBS Monza at the moment and will lower her on Eibach Sportline Spring, followed by GTI front grills and rear boot spoiler.

Anyway for now here are a few pictures:

Thanks
Nick

Small update, just bought some GT seat inserts which I fitted last night. Brighten up the entrance to the car without question, stepping up the hunt for BBS Monza's now.

Just a little update, I collected my Cruise Control kit this afternoon and also a Genuine VW spoiler which I will getting sent straight off to be sprayed. Looking forward to seeing this fitted.

Next up I am going to get her lowered on Eibach's and then I require a set of 18" Monza's, hopefully then she will start to look a little bit more purposeful.

Hi Nick

Nice car, looking forward to seeing it :happy2:

Hi Ed,

Thank you so much for your help today with regards to fitting my cruise control, I know it sounds sad but I thoroughly enjoyed myself today. The cruise control worked a treat all the way home without any trouble at all, and finding I had the telephone pre wiring was just icing on the cake.

Thanks again for your help, looking forward to seeing you soon with a MK6 Steering wheel.

Sorry Mark, I got the seat inserts from:

Small update, I collected my wheels at the weekend and swiftly put them on the car, let me know your thoughts. In the next few weeks I will be getting her lowered, fitting R32 side skirts and a rear spoiler.

It is currently looking like this:

Ok guys, over the weekend I had my first chance to get some good pics of my GT TSI and my good friends recently purchased GTI. Really pleased we how they have come out and I thought I would share them with you all.

There are a few more pictures to add and I will do this a little later,

Nick

Hi Ed,

Thank you, the wheels have made a huge difference in my opinion really please with them. I have got the R32 side skirts been fitted shortly, followed by a GTI roof spoiler and then for a R32 rear valence and Miltek centre exit exhaust.

Should look spot on then.......... :happy2:
