Aftermarket engine covers
« on: April 27, 2011, 09:53:26 pm »
Guys I've just got my forge twintake fitted and stage 1 map, I tried to my OEM engine cover fit by spending a hour chopping it with the angle grinder  :signLOL: anyway.....I've made a right mess and need a new one.
EVOMS cover-seen robins, looks good
NEUSPEED-carbon cover from awsome gti, will this fit with the twintake does anybody know?
Are there any different engine covers out there to work with the twintake? I wouldn't mind a carbon one
Cheers
Jack

Don't you like the look of your "nude" engine?

just out of interest how noisey is the engine without the cover on? is there a noticable difference as im planning on a map and intake sometime next year, but really dont like the engine bare, would sooner have a cover to protect the engine from water splash?

thanks john

The engine itself isn't louder whilst in cabin, outside wih bonnet open the tapping is louder but not by much at all! Doesn't look to great tho as I havent "tarted" it up, would be nice if it was all clean and had some silicone hoses!

My next mod is a toss between a decent suspension set up (bilstein b12, anti roll bars) or a full forge black silicone hose kit and a nice engine cover
