But SKY Atlantic are showing The Pacific and its just started chanel 108

For those who dont know what its about its a very very good WWII wartime drama set in The Pacific

Its episode 3 but hey its still better than watching Piers Morgan waffle on

i thought the series was a let down.  no where near in the same league as band of brothers.

I appreciate it spent they spent alot of time in trenches, but it makes for boring viewing after a while.  The only good thing that came of this series was that i bought a big HD TV and Sky HD just to watch it on

I was a bit disappointed with the series as well. If i hadn't watched Band of Brothers then i probably would have thought it was good. It is good just not as good as Band of Brothers

Having said that the books are the same. Stephen Ambrose wrote Band of Brothers and that was a very good book. Hugh Ambrose (his son) wrote The Pacific and that was nowhere near as good.
