If you want something stronger, you can get megs hot rims wheel cleaner from halfrauds. Ideally dilute down to 1:4 but I've used it neat without any issues. Just don't leave it on too long. Apply to the wheels and use a swissvax-style brush to agititate the cleaner. Once rinsed off, you can shampoo them to remove any remaining wheel cleaner.

Then use a clay kit (again megs, from halfrauds) and use a wheel sealant.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I would have a go with Iron-x that should clean it up - if its brake dust that has bedded into the wheel

+1 for Iron-X or Wolf's Brake Duster - both will be very good but you'll have to find an online source.

i used the orange lable on my mums s2000 alloys that have never been cleaned and it removed everything of them leaving them like new

Once you get them clean, I've tried some Natty blue wax on my wheels and come out really well...

Iron X is great and will do the job (used it on my Monza's today) but it smells AWFUL!!! I can still smell the stench.

Are you applying the AG wheel cleaner to wet wheel? or dry?

In effect your diluting the product. AG prefer applying to dry wheels.
