Am I being a bit thick ?
« on: July 25, 2011, 09:30:11 pm »
I've been a member but mainly lurking for some time but now that I have bought a mk6 GTi I'd like to get more involved.

I can't seem to find a reply button on the various threads I have been reading, is this something to do with limited access or am I missing something ?

Also I'd like to be bale to send PM's to organise things like a BBK but can't do this either ?

Been a long term member over on Audi Sport net and various other forums since 2005 so I'm a good boy honest  :happy2:

That's a nice friendly welcome,  hello would have done fine :P

I think I have worked out that I was indeed being a little thick as I can reply just not in the for sale section :stupid:

I'll organise some this weekend,  had the car nearly 4 weeks now but 2 weeks of it I was away on hols so just getting around to getting some things sorted now.

Are you the same TFSI Mike that used to have a black Cupra R and attended a dyno day in Stockport @ 2 years ago ?

Too many impersonators out there

Had the Guys at Milltek collect my car on Friday and fit a 3 " race system with GT tips,  cat back for now as no downpipes in stock at the moment,  I enjoy a good relationship with them as they have used previous cars for development and have met up on the odd track day.

ITG intake was fitted by ITG (Andy Jackson) on Thursday but that's it so far.  I plan to go stage 2 pretty soon but would like a little more braking power first so looking at the NQSBBK that you have just purchased as a good cost effective option,  I have just sold my AP 6 Pot set up from my S3 which they used for development to fund these latest mods,  would love to have kept them but wouldn't fit without spacers of which I am not a fan.

The car is 2 years old this month,  3 door grey with leather and 18" monza - really pleased so far :driver:

I've done the full stage 2 + K04 conversions previously as I was fortunate enough to own several versions but now have 2 kids and Nursery fees that dictate I need to slow it down and exercise some refrain- not doing too well to date but at least all my purchases are being funded by the sale of hardware from my last car- each time I sell something I order some new parts before it goes on Nappies

I think a guy called Alex owns it now and its running massive power,  fast and quiet I like,  fast and loud tends to attract too much attention for me :chicken:
