The TTS has a KO4'd 2.0 litre engine like the Edition 30.

The engines aren't exactly the same though.

Tuning-wise you'll see the same outputs achievable from both.

They are fella i have seen them in bits and they are the same as all the part numbers are the same for both engines

I thought that the TTS now had a TSI engine and not a TFSI engine?

:embarrassed: i think you are spot on as i was thinking about the s3/ed30/cupra engine  :embarrassed:

the tts engine is the same as the facelift s3, so its identical except for the intercooler being bigger in the tts.

I thought that the TTS had a chain instead of the cambelt?
Golf R gone.

thats better, kicked the cat.

He'll get his own back.
Sneak into the back when you are cleaning it and sharpen his claws on the tartan.
Then you will be cross.

TT-S has same engine as S3 and ED30 yeah..

Its not the new TSI engine, but the intake looks similiar to that, I think thats where the confusion started from..

I know that some TT-S have had the same ECU code as S3's and ED30's..

From VWVortex they say the gearchanges look like manual swaps on a racecar as you watch the driver from trackside :jumping:

I put up a post in the technical section about the differences between the TFSI and TSI - what are they?
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

Mile-muncher ordered: MkVI 1.6 TDi BlueMotion Match DSG with leather, winter pack, luxury pack, fogs, climate control, Dynaudio pack, RCD510 with DAB & MDI, flat tyre indicator

One of the main differences is the cambelt. On the TFSI it is belt driven and on the TSI it is chain driven and so wouldn't need replacing on a service regime.
