Tyre warning light illuminated
« on: May 04, 2011, 08:00:50 am »
Hi all,

On my way into work today my tyre warning light came on, when I press the reset button it goes out for maybe half a second and comes back on again.  When I got to work I had a good look around the tyres and dont see any reason the light would be lit up, no obvious flat tyre or (from what I can see) puncture.

Last night I swapped my off side wheels front to back and vice versa, I noticed the different tyres on the left front to back on the near side where the opposite of the off side, so swapped them so they are the same on both sides at the front and at the back.  But did not do anything else other than swap them over.

Is anyone able to give me more information on what could possibly cause this light to illuminate, and how to get rid of it.

Thanks in advance.

Press and hold the button until you get a ding noise, this will reset the system.  :happy2:

Thanks,

I just went out and checked all the pressures (all were fine) so tried it again and light was still lit and wouldnt stay off with the button.  Did the unmanly thing and read the manual where it specifically advises you reset the system if you rotate the wheels front to back as there will be a circumference change.  O well, thanks SteveP.

Should be on a printed label on the inside of your fuel filler cap.  I keep mine at 2.3bar front and rear as per manufacturer's recommendations for my GT Sport.
