Hi everyone
« on: May 04, 2011, 04:18:50 pm »
Good afternoon all, thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. I'm steve, live in Folkestone in Kent and picked up my gti 3 weeks ago. It's a 5 door in silver without any options that I can find. In my driving career I've gone through various quick cars and hot hatches but honestly think the gti is the best genuine hot hatch I've had. I had a focus st3 which was a very competent car and fully loaded with options but was just not as involving or sharp as the gti. Had a real pain finding my gti as I wanted 5 door (for the little guys), manual and fairly local to me. I got mine from Canterbury Vw and am really impressed with it. First jobs on it will be different tyres and probably a new head unit in the future and am thinking about an armrest but undecided.
Bye for now

Hi and welcome.

Congrats on your purchase.

Good tyres are a must for the GTI - poor tyres can ruin the experience of the MK5.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
