Just had revo stage 1
« on: May 04, 2011, 06:10:27 pm »
Not had too much of a chance to try it out yet as the traffic back from Portsmouth was bad. 6th gear feels so much better though, it pulls like a train now. Sounds different too, much more of a sporty exhaust note.

Going to take it out later when it gets dark so will report my findings.

Oh and I had a dodgy window that when I closed it on auto it opened up again to half way, the map fixed this too lol

Probably VCD's rather than the remap that fixed the window issue.
Glad you are happy with your map.
Don't want to sound like a spoilsport, but when you say you are going out late to try it out, please drive carefully, around 70% of collisions occur during night hours because people believe that because there is less traffic around that they can drive faster.
just be careful when having fun. (hope this doesn't sound like me teaching you to suck eggs )

Another happy Revo customer, :happy2:

Was probably the tuner that solved the window issue but I Wonder if Revo can fix the puncture on my BMW......

:signLOL:   Going out later as I want a road void of traffic. Not going to be going mad, more just testing acceleration.

Also don't over do the acceleration in 5th and 6th ... unless you like replacing clutches prematurely  :scared:

DSG IS fine, its the manual clutches that struggle if you give them some abuse with a remap.  Didn't realise yours was DSG.

Don't Panic  :signLOL:

Well its fast  :signLOL:

how you keep the wheels from spinning in greater maps is beyond me, mine spins in first and second now. The gear changes are much faster now too.

Its amazing  :jumping:

Judicious use of the right foot will stop most wheel spins.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Go S2+ and you can get wheels spinning in 1-4th. Engine mounts, WALK, wheels, tyres all go somewhere to reduce wheel spin/hop - all down to learning the car, the power curve and how you modulate the throttle  :happy2:

Glad you're another Happy REVO Customer.  :drinking:
