The Sales Manager at Autoworld has agreed to move the car to my local VW main dealer on Monday, to begin diagnosis again. All work will be carried out by the main dealer too

Happy again, and I'll probably keep it now unless it's something very serious.

Also, thank you to StealthWolf for his very kind offer to come over and read my car for problems.  Much appreciated buddy.  :happy2:
.............hope it is a simple fix & you have it back on the road soon. Stick with it if you can, just done a 65 mile blast in mine first thing & they really are a great car.

Thanks :)

I really do want to stick with it.  For the 30 minutes it was working, I loved it.  Didn't handle as well as my Megane, but it felt so solid and nice to drive.

It's the first car I've had which I feel I want to really pamper and look after, despite having a string of hot hatches before.

I want them to sort it so that I can keep it.  I miss it, lol!

Should get it back on Tuesday mate.

There was a rogue bolt in the engine which the cambelt was catching on.  This in turn has damaged some pulleys and the water pump...

You're Mikey's mate aren't you?  Grey Ed30?  I saw your comment about N7 MDA on the other thread...
