Are the ARB's the same on the GTI and EDition 30...??

Got a mate fitting my arb's at mo.

He says the rear one has gone on ok but says he cant see how the oem bracket comes off the front one to put the bush over which comes with the Eibach's?

Can anyone confirm that the oem bracket is definately to be utilised when fitting the Eibach arb's and if so how do you get it off? Does the top and bottom half of the bracket split somehow?

Hi Danish, the eibach kit only comes with the 2 bars and 4 poly bushes, so you must use the oem bracket 

been on eibach.com but its all in German - do you need to drill?

as i recall the post the original is U shaped with wings for the bolts and a bridge across to stiffen and hold the  bushing. The Bridge then has to go otherwise it won't work. All of this is off course on the top off my head. Any clues in the Eibach manual??

Did the rears easy yesterday with a Polybush bush but when I tried to do the fronts I had the same problem and couldn't get the bracket apart to fit and gave up (I hate doing that) I have asked my mate and Ill let you know.

Its the same on the S3, front subframe needs removing then the brackets need to be split. The flat plate is sort of peened onto the U section, I ground the peening away using a rotary file, split the bracket then re-used it with the new bush

Thats some good info, Gaz. I think my ARB bushes are gone so have been looking at the Powerflex replacement 

Am I right in saying that the OEM ED30 front ARB is 23.6mm?
