Double DIN Facia Adapter?
« on: May 08, 2011, 02:54:41 pm »
Hi guys,

Just picked up a new double din headunit from the CAS sale today. I was wondering, what double din facia adapter do you guys recommend?

I would ideally like to get an OEM one from the dealers, but not sure if they stock the part.

Does anyone know any alternatives that match the dash of the MK5 GT TDI?

Thanks

Sharif

I think the issue is getting the right colour trim for the surround. OEM is always the way forwards as I've found that (in other cars) anything else just looks crap.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

The connects2 adapter is good, and looks OEM.

I don't I'm afraid - I sold it last week to someone on the forum. It should be with them soon, so perhaps they'll post images.

What brand of facia plate is that? It looks to be slightly proud of the surround, or is it my eyes playing tricks?

It does stick out a bit, exactly the same as the climate displays.

Its a Connects 2 CT23VW01 from Dynamic Sounds.

I like the fact it matches the climate displays myself.
