tailgate touching back valance
« on: May 09, 2011, 09:17:48 am »
I have just noticed the tailgate is just touching the bakc valence and scuffing the rear quite badly. Definitely was not doing this a few weeks ago. I can't understand why or how to fix. I don't want to take to VW for a big bill, if I don't fix soon I think the damage will require an expensive fix. Any ideas

It's pretty easy to move the bootlid up on the slotted hinges. I moved mine to align it better with the roof-line, and give a smidge more clearance between bootlid and bumper.
