EGR Autos, Birstall (nr Leeds)

Does anyone use these for servicing/repairs etc., they're VW/Audi specialists in Birstall (M62 J27).

I'm looking for an alternative to Leeds VW after reading some of the comments on here  :scared:

I'm sure someone on here mentioned them, and bad reports but I could be getting mixed up with another garage, so maybe do a search on here.

Never used EGR, but I have actually used VW Leeds recently and they have been excellent:

Free shuttle bus into Leeds and back when they had mine in for DSG diagnsosis (gearchange was jerky)
Phone calls daily to update me on my mechatronics warranty claim
Got a text from them today to say the mechatronics was in stock. Car booked in for Friday to be fixed under used warranty

Maybe VW are pushing their dealers to improve, but with the fixed cost pricing, I think their service is good.

It was me who had a bad experience with them, won't trust them again :angry015:

They were going to charge 2 hours labour when Darren (mortygttdi) did it in 30 minutes (amongst other things, but I won't go into it). They're not cheap either, only a few pounds off VW.

There are a few other specialists around the Leeds area, but it seems they're getting dearer in price. If you find a good one, let me know please (but avoid EGR).

For servicing, VW Wakefield are competitive in pricing and the service is reasonable (just don't let them wash your car).
