Headlight removal
« on: July 17, 2011, 07:34:06 pm »
I'm looking to change the headlights on swmbo's new motor to the type with black inners.  I have seen a post that suggests you need to remove the entire front bumper!  :scared: This can't be right, can it?

My mk2 Octavia vRS headlights take approx' 10 seconds each side.........

If  it has the head light washes in I think the bottom bolt is difficult to get to

No headlight washers..... :sad1: But I have just found this guide which suggests you only need to losen the front bumper, and the vehicle shown has washers!

Bit strange that they're replacing Xenons with standard carp!  :surprised:
Only in America.

You dont need to remove the lower middle honeycombe bit, or pull the wheel arch liner out.... skip those stages.

Once youve done it once, its a 5-10 min job  :happy2:
