Hi Gulf - really gutted for you mate. Having been there myself I understand how you feel.

As for a valuation scour Auto Trader and the VW website for similar spec cars.  :happy2:

Sorry to hear about the car, but at least you and family are ok... hopefully they catch them or something unfortunate happens to them

For prices have a look on parkers at the price guide and similar places

Sorry to hear about your bad news - metal can always be replaced, atleast some little baghead wasnt sneaking around your bedroom for the keys.

Hope you get it sorted soon one way or the other

really sorry to hear this mate. makes me sick. they tried getting in my house twice since x-mas using the same methods. the weak point is the euro-locks that are fitted we've now had anti snap ones fitted at £160 each but worth the security im sure you'd agree.

Hope they catch the little scumbags

OMG! I had paranoid thoughts that something was going to happen to my car. Heard some noises last night and rushed downstairs. Thankfully all safe but to hear somebody else's GTI was stolen is just gutting mate.

As others have said, beef up security before you get a replacement car.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Gutted

Which insurance bracket does this fit into with them breaking in to get the keys? Contents or car?

REALLY sickening to hear, hate reading these threads.

Maybe Im being stupid and brave but Ive worked too bloody hard and spent too much time and spent too much money on my car to just let someone walk in and take it like candy from a baby. Ive thought long and hard and both my keys stay in my room. Its not going without a fight.

Silly. . maybe.

I couldnt agree more with what others have said about letting it stop it from getting another nice car. Dont let these mugs win.

Sorry to hear about the loss, glad you're ok though.

GAP ended in march..

Alan. I said in the 1st part of this thread that my wife and I decided not to have the keys in our room.I agree with you and I,m definately up for a scrap for my goods but I could,nt live with myself if something happened to my wife in the process,so downstairs they went.

WhiteGTI.. No buddy,it did'nt have LED lights

Still no word form the force, they gave it a 3 day lead time before its gone.
