MkV Polo filler cap release...
« on: May 12, 2011, 07:00:17 pm »
...Where the hell is it?

I thought it would be a push-release like the MkVI Golf but this one won't budge and I cant find a button!

Can anyone help? I feel like such an idiot posting such a moronic question...  :ashamed:
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

not one of the push the far end jobs is it - as in toward the front of the car to 'flip' the rear out ..?

Could also be on a spring release... press it inwards, then let it pop out?

It is push release...but it's crap and u do have to bash it quite hard to get it to pop!

Spent 10mins trying to get it open on a hire car! No idea why they've made it that stiff. Quite common problem too as someone at another pump pointed it out to me he had issues on one too.

No, the MkV - VW dont count all the facelifts.

Cheers chungster, I'll (literally) give it a bash! Mines a courtesty car, lovely little thing though. Looks brilliant in black, even is fairly poverty spec. Has MDI in the glove box too, which I love. I'm very tempted...

Well in the polo world, at least from a forum perspective, we do (the collective we that is uk-polos.net) :signLOL:

Gets far too confusing to get into Mk2F and Mk3F and all that

How strange, most car communities do differentiate between facelifted models and genuine next-gen cars.
