Red.

People get out of your way when there is a red car in the rear view mirror and cut you up less.  It definitely has a psychological effect.

Plus it looks much better.

Blue all the way.. They did have a red golf r at Chelmsford dealer with a blue roc r next to it and the blue stands out more as it looks better and not on available on every car where as red is... Plus I'm a bit biased to blue  :signLOL:

Blue has long been my favorite colour yet my last three cars have been red . I love blue cars but the red and black combo is so much more vivid and suits a lot of cars better, especially when its buffed up.
The blue on the R is a bit weak in my opinion so I vote for red all the way mate. Never seen an R in red either so it'll be more unique.

Get yourself some panpipes; develop a healthy appetite for young ladies and wildlife (not a wild life) a couple of garish go-faster strips and you and Robin have your own club starting!!!!!

Seriously - It’s got to be Red the only colour I wanted to have other than CW; I always give a red GTi a second glance

Red, everyone and their dog has a Rising Blue one, don't be a sheep.

They may as well rename that R forums members section, 'The blues brothers'(with a dash of white)

I have seen a red one in the tin and to me it looks fantastic.
That shade of red really works on the mk6 golf and especially the R. Im not a fan of red cars but this one i really liked.

I think the red looks more exclusive but IMO the blue looks better. In fact, I think the car looks better in black/blue/white/silver than it does in red.

Not biased against red (much) - the MK5 GTI works really well in red IMO but I don't think the Golf R looks as good in red.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Get a facelift S3, much better looks and interior. Yes it will be used but you're going to save over £10k

Yea I had seen it on the forum before. Unless you prefer the styling of the Golf, you want a brand new car or you prefer the MK6 platform I can't understand why anyone would want a Golf R over the S3. I couldn't warrant that much on something that still has the 2.0 TFSI, if I was spending that much it would have to be something with the 2.5 TFSI, but not the RS3, so either TTRS.

Do you have a weekend car Hurdy? You mentioned this new car was a daily
