Ordered an Audi TTS engine cover from VRSAlex at the start of the week and it turned up today so went about fitting it to my car

Very easy to fit and remove and think it smartens up an otherwise messy engine bay

Finally some nice weather to get my car cleaned that lasts more then a few days before its filthy again  :signLOL:

Had a new votex rear valance fitted recently, with the cut out for the exhaust, to replace my cracked ed30 one

I'll get some pictures up but I'm definitely preferring it over what I had before

Had a few things done today as my car wasn't running the best and had developed a metallic rattle from underneath the car  :surprised:

Turned out I had a crack in my down pipe probably caused by excessive movement of the engine as I'm still running standard engine mounts and have been hitting the 1/4 mile strips quite hard the past year or so  :driver:

Also had quite a rough idle that has steadily been getting worse and seems to have been cured by getting  a new revision N PCV fitted today  :happy2:

To try and help with this hot weather I had a service on my air conditioning and its made a big difference making it a lot colder on the low setting and getting to that temperature a lot quicker than it did before  :pomppomp:

Got the car booked in for a full set THS engine mounts as a result as I didn't want to put standard OEM ones on and the harsher stiffer ones seem to be unbearable to live with according to people's reviews

Think it was about £100 if i remember right, including the 3 pegs you mount it on..... Give Alex a bell at AKS for the exact cost  :happy2:

So a few weeks on from getting my PCV replaced and I'm happy to say its improved the lumpy idle considerably so money well spent  :happy2:

Had a full set of THS engine mounts fitted today and so far I'm very impressed  :driver:

Everything feels so much tighter and whilst the old OE mounts that came off weren't completely buggered its like night and day  :pomppomp:

Gear change feels crisper and a lot more direct and feels like the biting point of the clutch has risen slightly, which is the only point at which I feel any extra vibration as I pull away, which will no doubt settle down a little once they have some miles on them and can definitely notice that the engine is not moving like it was before.

Might sound funny but the engine also sounds different, in a good way thank god  :signLOL: the ITG sounds more aggressive and my exhaust note a little better too  :jumpmove:

Was worried about getting these fitted over standard mounts and glad I took advice and steered clear of solid ones, these are a great middle option and have made a big improvement to the drivability of my car  :notworthy:

Drove up to AKS yesterday with mvb12 to get his Porsche stoppers finally fitted

Jussa dropped off his RS3 brakes for a test fit then took me for a ride in his car  :driver: bloody mental  :notworthy:

Turned out to be an expensive day for me  :signLOL:

Just went along for a mini meet and ended up buying Alex's last big brake set

Getting some team dynamics pro 1.2s and Goodyear as2's to replace my current wheels as there's no chance of getting those brakes on otherwise

Hopefully back at AKS next weekend to get them fitted as long as I can get the wheels and tires sorted in time  :popcornsoda:
