No doubt they are good as a fast road tyre, but i have them in 235/35-19" and compared to the Toyo R1R that i have in 225/40-18" i don't find them to have as much straight line grip as the Toyo's. So for a FWD car compared to 4wd i would still take the Toyo's over the Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
Thatt being said in 19" where the Toyo's aren't available i would still take the super sports over the competitors.
When i reflect over the reviews i have read, the cars that are used are mostly RWD, and they have a totally different weight transfer to the power wheels so they might shine more when used on those types of cars.
I will attend a track day next friday and as my new (used) TD PR 1.2 that will have the Toyo's fitted aren't ready yet i will attend on the 19" SS's so will let you guys know how i find them on track.
The R1Rs will ultimately be superior on track once warmed up, but the PSS grips from cold, so for the occasional track worry these tyres are mega!
