Entering valid postcodes in RNS510
« on: May 28, 2011, 11:35:13 am »
When you enter a postcode in the RNS it looks like it only displays A-Z and 0-9 that it thinks are valid for a postcode, correct?

Problem is I tried entering a postcode the other day and I couldn't enter the last letter as it was greyed out, I've double checked the postcode and it is correct, not new either.

Has anyone come across this?

New postcodes wont be in the database, so even if you enter the last digit the nav wont know where it is, your best bet at this stage is to drop the last letter it will get you to the right road.

5Dr Black GTI, DSG, Leather, Xenons. Retrofitted - Cruise, RNS 510, MFSW, Armrest, Skoda BT, 6cd changer, Monza II's, VW speaker upgrade kit, Lux pack, High-line, new CAN gateway, Polar FIS info display, R32 tinted rear lights, RVC

To Come...NQSBBK, highline CCM.

You need to put a space in so you get the full postcode. So, rg189gd would be rg18 (space) 9gd.  :happy2:
