Fuse Box - Red Wire
« on: May 19, 2011, 12:17:49 pm »
Just been to check my fuse for my alarm (not one in there btw?) anyway along the top row was a red wire - single wire - leading to a scotch connector and then plugged into the top half of the 3rd socket in from the left I think.

Looks like some has retrofitted something maybe or is this standard?

Didn't have phone to take pictures so hoped I've explained it correct. How would I find out what it was and what was in here before? If I follow the wire it just leads up a little and to the left through a circle hole?

Any help would be appreciated, looks a bugger to trace as in dash out job!

Maybe for my parrot kit? Although all that looks like a proper install as it has a proper wiring harness.

It's def not standard.....

Sounds like an ignition live for a handsfree kit.

Might be, I will unplug it and see if my Parrot still comes on, my kit was installed professionally I think though and all that was done through the harness.

Will have a check shortly and report back my good friend!

Thats sound exactly like what i've done for my after market stereo, so I would guess aftermarket ignition power for something
