Replacing 4 tyres, considering options

Michelin 2s or 3s , the only way

Scooba, Carrera has spent effort and time on improving the suspension.

The suspension is

Bilstein PSS10
TT alloy arms
WALK
Neuspeed ARB's 25F, 25R

He is running > - 2° camber and so I guess this car is performance oriented. ;)
It would be very compromising fitting second class tyres. My opinion:
Only the best dry grip rubber do fit these demands. The PS3 is a very good
tyre for daily use like Conti SC3/SC5, but to take advantage of camber and
suspension components I strongly recommend to go for one of the tyres I
have listed above.

the old PS2 would fit as well, but the new PSS would surely even better and
the PS2 has just discontinued

I personally find the Vredestein tyres a but understeery, that's on an unmodified car though. Mind you, I've spent a lot of time recently driving my wife's new BMW and that thing doesn't know what understeer is!

I have read heaps of reviews and think it's between the PSS and Pirello P Zero

Seems the Yoko will be too low on tyre wear. I am doing circa 15-20k per year at the moment.

I've got PS3s and I'm not overly inpressed. Insult to the Pilot Sport brand, as far as I'm  concerned. They're noisy and very squirrelly in colder temps. I will not be replacing them. I'm gonna go with the Conti 5Ps next time, as they get good reviews.

The PS3 actually replaced the Exalto SE2, not the PS2, which is why you can still buy the latter.

I'm getting a price on the PSS, having looked it sits between the cup and PS2. I really liked the Cup+ and PS2.

I had cups before when they were fist intriduced and hated them, but they could have been too early. I also had some PZero Corsa's which I was not keen on given the grip vs wear.

The PS3 was a less performance oriented tyre. I am trying to find wear ratings for the PSS. I foudn PS2's on my E92M3 to be very good considering 

I need to make sure I don't go too radical with 20k per year and lots of low grip required motorway miles !

It seems that the PSS are not yet available.

Plus the Pirelli P Zero are now out of stock, with pirelli unable to say when they will be available (Asian earthquake impact)

I then had a look at which exact P Zero Nero tyre were fitted as I am very happy with the grip, so I have a benchmark to look at grip and wear rates.....

I HAVE P ZERO's !! not Nero's or any other variant...... Non wonder my car grips well !  I then read an article reviewing the GTi Pirelli before they imported to the UK. They comment on the tyres being very good and suggest that all edition 30 owners should fit Pirelli P Zero's and improve their handling....

I finally locate a set 

They are on their way to my local garage and I will fit as soon as I hit the wear bars (virtually there but don't want to waste good tryes now !). I suspect Michelin PSS will be better and other softer tyres but the car is now performing/handling extremely well so ....

Unfortunately no PS2, or PSS or more recent Conti's. I also suspect the new GY F1 will be good

You'll not the Pirelli is 'only' 2nd but check out the Dry Grip and overall review, especially compared to PS3's

No doubt the P Zero is one of the very best and close to PS2 and PSS in character.
