Anyone use Votex in Congleton?
« on: May 23, 2011, 06:50:28 pm »
Thinking about using them for servicing and maybe a remap.

Also are they any good with older vags, or just the newer ones?

Thanks

Matt

fwiw both TC and Mr Danza have availed themselves of their services on their Mk5 GTis in the past and had nothing but praise.

They have done all 3 services on my car and fitted a few bits for me and cant fault them with the service provided. They are not the cheapest and they are very straight ( would only set my coils up to the height he wanted.)  :signLOL:  But you dont have to worry about them fitting bits wrong or f*cking things up all the time like dealers and some of the well known tuners on here.

Ask for Mike.  :happy2:

As above, all my work has been done there including revo software.  They aren't the cheapest but Mike really knows his stuff and is a vag nut through and through

The guy I bought my car from used them and I had to contact them about something on mine.

Really helpful, sent me the invoices immediately.

They didn't have to but brilliant from just that.

The ONLY place I will let touch my cars, and they have for many many years without so much as gripe.

Everything 100% first time.
They'll tell me when something's a waste of time/money, even if it means them losing the work.
Never once had a bill I didn't think was worth it.

They're not forum people, you don't hear about them because they don't come on forums singing their own praises, they don't need to. They're busy because people know they're good. They've been there for what, 30 years? You don't last that long in this game without a good rep.

Mike and a few others are all 'sent to VAG in Germany' master techs. Genuinely understand ECUs too, ask Revo's opinion of him if you need back up, they'll tell you he's one of the best.

They look after everything from classic cars to the owner's son's 997 Carerra Cup race car (James Pickford, ex Cupra Cup & BTCC), and everything in between.  :happy2:

Its a shame that such places are always miles away... there are no decent garages within about 50miles of me.
