Hi Moschops, The mileage and one owner is what attracted me first off, seams its £18800 no room for negotiation so it isnt going to happen ,Id be happy to let the chap have all the extras /improvements he claims are better than OEM kit ????. if he would move on the price .as above I have a new set off wheels and mats .

The guy wants what he wants thats fine buy me ,but i dont want all that trash and would put her back to standard ,just a new set off S3 brakes from our man Daveb possibly a new Full milltek and some ali bits ,S3 intercooler just boring stuff but slight improvements to what i think is a very good car from VW .


It is getting to the point where I will just order a ED35 when they become available

I think £13,500 is a bit low ,I mentioned £16k and happy to spend £2500 putting it right ,I think I can live with headlights just but £18,800 is mental money, I asked what the build number is and I dont think the guy even knows on a 58 it must be late dont you think .

Your ed30 was 2275 iirc.

What do you think is a fair price , you had a beautiful  CW ED30

I think £2500 , I have a brand new set off pescaras and new mats .I think if it was oem with the miles and one owner private sale for cash you would struggle to get £18k

I know everyone has there own taste in mods but as it stands It aint the car for me

£13.5k is what I would offer, as it stands.  Just MO.  given it needs £2.5k ish to get it back to OE.  Total £16K, still high end of what I think it is worth.

The car is not worth £18.5 K , given your offer and the £2.5K required to put right.

Mate, my tuppence worth is walk away...any one who can mess a car up like this doesnt know how to drive it with respect IMHO.

I rarely have looked at an ed30 and thought  but this makes me want to pour concrete into my eyelids.
