+1 Stealth, my first foray into clay-ing was the Megs kit and it does what it says on the tin. Hopefully Gulf's not gonna run into much more tar. But east Riding & Hull councils are too fond of 'wet dressing' the road surface. They spread wet bitumen then chuck a load of chippings over it and let the traffic pound it in.
Gulf, next time you're going toward Filey, take the B1248 from Beverley to Bainton, then the A164 to Driffield, then B1249 signed Scarborough. Turn right after 1 mile signed Kilham & keep heading north until Hunmanby. Great roads, quiet, and a cracking diversion. At Hunmanby either head north to join the A64 south of Seamer for Scarborough, or turn south & join the A165 Brid to Scarborough road close to the Filey turn.
