Forge Big Brake Kit

Anybody got any experience/thoughts on these kits???

Did a search and there was a thread a while ago that didn't really give any answers :smiley:

I am looking to order a set from VWR and I saw a post suggesting the cheaper Forge are the same ?

They look similar but not the same ?

Can anyone help as the price difference is significant !

don't really tell us anything about the Forge kit, they can be had cheaper than from Forge too, from Awesome

Looking at the pictures the caliper and discs are different so I dont think the VWR or Forge are related. Also no idea of caliper clearance for different wheels.

I spoke to Forge some time ago and couldn't find out whether they will fit under 8x18 TD's. After talking to a few who had bought cheaper, seemingly very similar big brake kits I decided not to take the risk. Seems the E46 M3 has a number of kits that seem similar to the AP's most are cheaper for a reason.

DS2500 pads are also more expensive and higher quality than EBC by all accounts.

I'm still sticking with VWR brakes for my upgrade, just wish they were not so expensive.

They certainly appear very tempting especially for the 330mm kit at Awesome pricing...

I remember the thread a while back about these and suprised at the general lack of info and uptake since tbh? Only info seems to be speculation rather than fact about them being rebranded K-Sport stuff which doesnt get the best reviews so perhaps thats why?  :confused:

Even the corporate machine that is Forge and their fanbase have not banded them around the forums as usual, strange...  :confused:

I'll possibly be interested in these at some point too. The spec is decent, the price is good and if I could guarantee they'd fit behind 18" OZ Alleggerita's then I'd be a happy bunny.   :smiley:
