Can only go in straight lines, with the occasional turn?

Yes me too, don't understand how it could have kept up with a mapped 2.0T?
Anyway a second is a lifetime in a 0-60 race.
Where are all the GTi petrol heads in this string  :signLOL:
2010 3dr phantom black S-Tronic S3 - BCS TBE with 3½" DP - LOBA LO4xx turbo - LOBA HPFP - Revo CAI - H&R 25mm lowering springs - Forge 11mm spacers - RS4 fuel Pressure valve - THS intercooler - H&R front and rear ARB's - AEM water methanol injection

It's one of those posts that aren't worth the effort.  A mapped 2.0tfsi 60 around 6 secs, mapped diesel 8-9 seconds, that really is a country mile in the traffic light grand prix

My mapped diesel must be slow then cos I thinks its useless in the first 2 gears, but once into 3rd it did pull like a train...but i'm hoping with this new turbo it should be full of beans with a large dose of bring it on

Ruffrydaz, are you DSG?

If so we are adding DSG v manual to a petrol v diesel discussion too.

My old DSG mapped 140 GTTDi diesel was 6.93 seconds 0-60 at Inters :happy2:

Golf R gone.

What is the 8p after audi a3 2.0T ??

A3 8L = 1996 - 2003
A3 8P = 2003 - 2011

Golf 1J = Golf IV
Golf 1K = Golf V

This is not a question of which car is faster but one of
which driver is accelerating better and shifting harder.

Imho:  just bullsh*t.

i had a mapped 2.0 tdi audi a3 and it is no where near as quick as my gti....1st gear was pointless, 2nd gear and 3rd gear it pulled like a train but after that it was kind of flat

My standard ed30 (I know it's not the same as the one in question) easily pulled away from my friends A3 170 (standard)
Gti should easily walk away in all gears

So you got a better start and by 50mph he was already pulling on you? Sounds to me as though you would of got your pants pulled down if you carried on past 60mph..
